About
Labor, Department of State
Anyone who operates a mobile laser in New York State needs a certificate.
Operators must meet experiential and educational requirements. Engineers and surveyors do not need this certificate. Researchers do not need this certificate.
High-intensity and low-intensity laser operators are separately certified. Class A certificate holders can only operate low-intensity mobile lasers. Class B certificate holders can operate either high- or low-intensity lasers.
