A Certificate of Fitness is required for the supervision of piped non-flammable medical gases. The Certificate of Fitness holder is responsible for the safe handling and storage of medical gases used in the supervised facility. Medical gases include, but are not limited to, oxygen, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide and air. An individual with a Certificate of Fitness must be on duty 24 hours a day in all facilities that use medical gases.
This Certificate of Fitness is valid only at a specific location and for the specific person to whom it is issued.
