National Grid's Commercial and Industrial Efficiency Program provides incentives on natural gas rates for businesses across New York City. This program was formerly known as the Economic Development Gas Rate (EDGAR).

The program includes facility evaluation to identify natural gas efficiency opportunities, subsidized engineering studies, and steam trap surveys. The studies can be funded up to $10,000 or for 50% of the cost; surveys are funded up to $2,500 or 25% of the cost.

Heating and hot water incentives and rebates are available for eligible equipment. Additional incentives are available for efficient kitchen equipment. Incentives vary according to equipment, contact National Grid for more information.

Rebates for marketing and construction are also available in the ShovelReady program.

Businesses that are not fully covered by normal efficiency programs may be eligible for custom incentives from National Grid.
