Before you submit your application

    Each applicant must have a Class 1 Federal Firearms License (FFL).
    • 2
      The applicant, and all co-owners, partners and employees must each own a Rifle / Shotgun Permit issued by the NYPD.
      • 3
        The applicant must have a valid Certificate of Occupancy from the Department of Buildings that permits the sale of longarms.
        • 4
          If the applicant plans to sell used rifles / shotguns at the location, the applicant must have a Second-hand Dealer's License issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs
          • 5
            A Fire Department permit is required if more than 200 rounds of ammunition will be stored on the premises.

                Complete the Rifle / Shotgun Dealer's License Application and submit the original application and one copy of the application and all applicable fees in person to the Rifle / Shotgun Section at the address available below.
