Environmental Conservation, Department of
Businesses must get a Wetlands Permit to construct structures, dredge, or clear land in or near wetlands. This permit is given by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC).
Wetlands include marshes, bogs, wet meadows, and mudflats.
