Statement from Mayor de Blasio on President Obama's Immigration Announcement

“Time and time again, Republicans in Congress have failed Americans by stalling efforts to pass comprehensive immigration reform. In light of their never-ending obstruction tactics, I commend President Obama for taking the bold step to consider executive action to address pressing immigration needs. With 11 million immigrants living in the shadows, many of them children and youth, governments at all levels must do what they can to regularize their situation and prevent the terrible consequences of allowing a two-tier society.”
