Workers' Compensation

Eligible WTC workers and volunteers who filed a WTC-12 form by September 13, 2010 have the right to file a New York State Workers' Compensation claim.

Uniformed FDNY, NYPD and DSNY employees and  DOE pedagogical employees are not eligible for New York State Workers' Compensation benefits. Please see pension benefit information for New York City employees.

Note: Federal employees who participated in the WTC rescue and recovery  are not eligible for New York State Workers' Compensation benefits. Claims should be filed through the federal agency where you were employed on 9/11. If you filed a claim and were assigned a number, you can call (646)264-3000 for information about your claim.
