Over fifty families and their adopted and biological children braved the chilly, crisp day to participate with other NYC families in the event which is a top Halloween attraction staged annually by the Bronx Zoo. Children of all ages wore costumes and each child was given a goody bag in neon Halloween colors. Each child and family member received all day, all-access passes to special rides and attractions such as the 4D Theater, Jungle World, Shuttle Rides, Wild Asia Monorail, Children’s Zoo, Congo Gorilla Forest, Butterfly Garden, Bug Carousel, and the new Dinosaur Safari.

Deputy Commissioner Miller welcomed the families with with brief remarks thanking them for welcoming a child in foster care to their families, and for turning out in such great numbers to enjoy the day. FPS Associate Commissioner Jackie Roth handed out gift vouchers to be used at food and gift concession stands, and wished everyone a funfilled day at the Zoo!
