NYC Census 2020 is an organizing initiative established by Mayor deBlasio to ensure a complete and accurate count for all New Yorkers in the 2020 Census.
The Census is the count of every person in the United States. It is vital for determining each state's representation in Congress and the distribution of $650 billion in federal funding for critical programs like public education, public housing, roads, bridges and more.
In Community District Ten - the Bay Ridge area had an average self-response of 62.1%. Dyker Heights a 56.5% and Fort Hamilton a 60.5% average self-response while national average was 76%.
Community Board Ten District Office has important Census 2020 information at the District Office and will assist in this effort by helping to disseminate information to residents hoping to improve the response submissions in Community District 10.
