Before any construction project begins in New York City, an application must be submitted for review by the Department of Buildings to make sure that the plans are in compliance with Building Code. The majority of construction requires a Department of Buildings permit.
The reports below show the details for every job application filed with the Department of Buildings. We are gradually moving toward an electronic filing system called DOB NOW, which will eventually contain all job applications. Until that migration is complete, you will need to look at a few different datasets to see the full list of job applications.
