Property or Business Owner

The average property or business owner comes to DOB for a variety of services. You may need to obtain building records, meet with a Project Advocate to assist in resolving technical/operational issues relating to your project or property, or maybe it’s to meet with a plan examiner to withdraw an application, request objections or obtain direction for a future project. Whatever the reason, we are here to help you.

The Department of Buildings (DOB) promotes the safety of all people that build, work, and live in New York City. DOB is committed to providing efficient service to all New Yorkers to meet the safety and permitting needs of residents across all five boroughs and that includes your project.
