NYC Capital Projects Dashboard

The NYC Capital Projects Dashboard provides a view into the City's construction projects, spanning critical infrastructure such as bridges, sewers, sanitation, and buildings. The Dashboard provides schedule information maintained in agency project management systems with budget information maintained in the City’s Financial Management System (FMS).

The Dashboard includes the total cost, current phase, and projected completion date for all construction projects, as well as additional details. The budget data in the dashboard is updated three times per year following the publication of OMB’s commitment plans in January, May, and September. The schedule data is collected directly from City agencies on that same cadence.

How to Navigate

The navy blue data visualizations correlate with the Agency Project data, meaning projects where we have schedule information received directly from City agencies.
The green data visualizations correlate with the Capital Budget Line Items, meaning the number of FMS IDs that are related to capital projects.
A user must select a row or project in the table in order for the navy blue “Show Agency Schedule Details” and green “Show Budget Details” buttons to appear and be clickable:

Show agency schedule details: Link to the schedule details maintained in the agency project management system, including project description, phase, and actual and forecast dates
Show budget details: Link to the budget details maintained in the Financial Management System (FMS)
