The Commission is charged not only with educating New York City residents, but also with combating discrimination and working to promote understanding. As part of this mission, we carry out a variety of initiatives across the City.

Our work focuses on key areas of the City Human Rights Law, including access for people with disabilities, schools and youth, housing, and harassment. Each of these programs is described in more detail on the following pages.

Campaigns and initiatives reflect the strengths and challenges of New York City's diverse neighborhoods. If you see an issue that the Commission could help address, please contact us to discuss it.
