Union Square Plaza

Located on Broadway between 17th Street and 18th Street, the iconic Union Square contains a pedestrian plaza along with a playground and pavilion. The pedestrian plaza holds tables, chairs and free restrooms for passersby. The plaza is surrounded by protective planters to prevent vehicle traffic. This plaza is managed by the Department of Transportation.

To utilize Union Square within the park, you must obtain a permit from NYC Parks Department.
