NYC Census 2020 on Decision from the Ninth Circuit of Appeals in National Urban League, et. al. v Department of Commerce, et. al.

OCTOBER 7 - In response to the Ninth Circuit Court's decision to maintain the October 31 deadline for the census, Julie Menin, Director of NYC Census 2020 and Executive Assistant Corporation Counsel, NYC Law Department issued the following statement:

"The courts keep speaking even if the Trump administration is not listening. The Trump administration has lost time and time again in their attempts to interfere with the 2020 Census, and we welcome the Ninth Circuit’s decision, which preserves a fair and accurate census timeline. We expect the Census Bureau to fully comply and continue the count until October 31. We will continue to fight for NYC to get our fair share of the money, power, and respect that is at stake in the count."
