First Lady Chirlane McCray and Deputy Mayor for Strategic Policy Initiatives Richard Buery, along with Gabrielle Fialkoff, Senior Advisor to the Mayor and Director of the Office of Strategic Partnerships, and Greg Worrell, President of Scholastic's Classroom and Community Group, launched the City's two-year commitment to distribute 200,000 baby book bundles at libraries throughout the five boroughs. The bundles, donated by Scholastic, will be given to families with children ages zero to three through City agencies and the Reach Out and Read program. Each bundle will include "Love Is," a hardboard baby book, written and designed to encourage early childhood language development and establish strong bonds between parents and children in line with the City's Talk to Your Baby campaign.
