The Civic Engagement Commission will hold a public meeting at 4pm on Monday, November 18, 2019, at 255 Greenwich Street, 9th Floor, The Board Room.
In November 2018, New York City voters approved Charter revisions that established the New York City Civic Engagement Commission, which can be found in Chapter 76 of the New York City Charter. The Commission’s purpose is to enhance civic participation through a variety of initiatives, including participatory budgeting, expanded poll site interpretation and assistance to community boards.

The meeting is open to the public. CEC will provide a period at the end of its meeting for public comment related to the mission and activities of the Commission. Please note that public comment is limited to three minutes. This time is intended for comment and is not designated for questions and answers. To allow for comment in an orderly fashion, please sign up by emailing your name and affiliation to firstname.lastname@example.org by 5pm, Friday, November 15, 2019.
What if I need assistance to participate in the meeting? The meeting location is accessible to individuals using wheelchairs or other mobility devices. Free induction loop systems and ASL interpreters will be available upon request. Free interpretation services will be available in Spanish. Other languages also will be available upon request.
