Citywide Learning & Development

Citywide Learning & Development (L&D) is the central source of training within New York City government for employees at all levels, from all agencies. Classes are taught by a mix of government, university and private sector experts, and span 7 portfolio areas:

  • Technology Skills
  • Personal Development
  • Management & Supervision
  • Professional Practices
  • Organizational & Executive Development
  • Certification & Credit bearing courses
  • NYC specific content

Open enrollment courses for all employees are offered at the Citywide Training Center (CTC). Agency-specific courses can be offered at alternate locations and may be customized to meet agency-specific objectives.

NOTE: The Citywide Training Center is closed for in-person instructor-led classes. Computer-based training and live-webinars continue to be available. For information, please contact us at citywidetrainingcenter@dcas.nyc.gov.

How to Apply for Training

Mayoral and Non-Mayoral agencies that have access to NYCAPS must register staff for training through the NYCAPS training module.

Agencies that do not have access to NYCAPS may complete the Citywide Training Center Application.
