100 Gold Street

100 Gold Street
New York, NY 10038

100 Gold Street was built as a private office building in the mid-1960s. The City of New York purchased the building in 1993, for $36,930,000. The building, located at the corner of Gold and Frankfort Streets, is one of the newer of the City's buildings in the Civic Center area.

It is home to the Department of Housing Preservation and Development, and served as a rest and relief center for rescue workers after the World Trade Center attack. It is also the location of an active Senior Citizen Center for residents in lower Manhattan, the Lower East Side, and Chinatown.
