M/WBE Program

DCAS is dedicated to increasing Supplier Diversity because it supports the City's commitment to encourage a competitive and diverse New York City business environment. A diverse supplier base helps spark innovation, strengthen engagement, and drives continuous improvement. We appreciate the many unique vendors and organizations that are part of DCAS’ network. Together, we are building a long-term, sustainable value for our agency and the agencies we serve while strengthening and supporting the economic base of local businesses.

The vital NYC Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise program (M/WBE) is designed to promote City government contracting and subcontracting opportunities for businesses certified as minority and women-owned with a real and substantial presence in New York City and surrounding counties. The program was created by Local Law 129 of 2005 and most recently expanded by Local Law 1 of 2013. To learn more about the benefits of New York City M/WBE certification and the process or to obtain the certification application, click on M/WBE Certification and Access.
