NYC DDC Participates in Career Day at Aviation High School

DDC Senior Traffic Engineer Asheque Rahman speaks to students at Aviation High School (AHS)

(Long Island City, NY – March 11, 2020) The New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC) participated in Career Day at Aviation High School (AHS). The mission of AHS is to provide students with a high quality rigorous academic and technical education that will prepare them to meet the educational challenges of the 21st century, with a focus on careers within the field of aerospace. Infrastructure Division’s Senior Traffic Engineer, Asheque Rahman, spoke to over 125 students to broadened their knowledge of STEAM. Asheque explained what Civil Engineers do, and spoke about his experience working for DDC as a Senior Traffic Engineer.
