NYC, A New Way to Vote!

This June, NYC voters are using Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) citywide in a pivotal Primary Election. Ranked Choice Voting is a new system of voting in which you can rank up to five candidates in order of preference, which will now be used in all primary and special elections.

This June Primary will decide the outcomes of many critical races, including for Mayor, Public Advocate, Comptroller, Borough Presidents, and all 51 City Council seats. New York State lags behind many others when it comes to voter turnout, and the implementation of a new system of voting makes public education more important this year.
