As a result of COVID-19, DEP is granting extensions on all Backflow Prevention Device(s) annual testing requirements, which were due in February, March, April, and May 2020.

The new deadline is June 30, 2020.

Written extension requests are not necessary at this time. However, if a property owner needs an additional extension beyond June 30, 2020, then a written request from the owner or their authorized representative must be provided to DEP prior to June 30. Additional extensions are not guaranteed. Failure to comply by June 30 may result in enforcement action.
