Pre-Register to Testify via Zoom: Pre-Register. Pre-registration for time slots closes at midnight before each hearing. The Commission welcomes walk-ins to join us on location at hearing venues.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – The New York City Districting Commission 2022-23, will hold a Public Hearing, open to the public from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Staten Island Borough Hall located at 10 Richmond Terrace Room 125, Staten Island, NY 10309.

This hearing is open to the public. The purpose of this hearing is for the NYC Districting Commission to hear testimony from the public concerning the preliminary plan for the 51 New York City Council Districts. Individuals wishing to submit written testimony in connection with this public hearing may do so at PublicTestimony@redistricting.nyc.gov. Individuals wishing to speak at any hearing will be provided up to three minutes of speaking time. Individuals wishing to speak at the hearing in person or remotely, please pre-register.

Please be advised that Staten Island Borough Hall’s COVID policy will be strictly enforced. All those intending on appearing for the hearing in person must present either their proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test. Masks must be worn at all times in public common areas.

If you are not able to attend in person but wish to watch the meeting, please view our live stream. With advance notice, American Sign Language interpreters will be available, and members of the public may request induction loop devices and language translation services. Please make induction loop, language translation or additional accessibility requests by 5:00 p.m., August 15, 2022, by emailing the Commission at NYCRedistricting@redistricting.nyc.gov or calling 212-676-3090. All requests will be accommodated to the extent possible.
