NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – The New York City Districting Commission 2022-23, will hold a Public Hearing, open to the public from 5:30pm to 9pm, on Monday August 22, 2022, at Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, 515 Malcolm X Blvd., Harlem, Manhattan, 10037
This hearing is open to the public. The purpose of this hearing is for the NYC Districting Commission to hear testimony from the public concerning the preliminary plan for the 51 New York City Council Districts. Individuals wishing to submit written testimony in connection with this public hearing may do so at PublicTestimony@redistricting.nyc.gov. Individuals wishing to speak at any hearing will be provided up to three minutes of speaking time. Individuals wishing to speak at the hearing in person or remotely, please pre-register.
Please be advised that Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture’s COVID policy will be strictly enforced. All those intending on appearing for the hearing in person must present either their proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test. Masks must be worn at all times in public common areas.

With advance notice, American Sign Language interpreters will be available, and members of the public may request induction loop devices and language translation services.
