Eligibility

The program is currently open to graduate-level epidemiology students (defined as having completed the equivalent of an academic year of graduate courses or more) from participating universities.

Candidates should have:

  • Graduate-level epidemiology and biostatistics coursework and experience analyzing data
  • Commitment and/or demonstrated interest in applied public health research
  • Potential for future leadership in the public health sector
  • An excellent record of academic achievement

  • Official school transcript
  • An academic reference, preferably from the student's academic adviser or mentor

Deadlines

All applications must be received or postmarked by the application deadline. The Epi Scholars program hopes to inform accepted students of their status four to six weeks after the application deadline.

International Students

International student applicants are required to have completed two full semesters of coursework at their school prior to summer in order to receive valid work authorization. Work authorization must be obtained from the school they currently attend.
