Food Protection: (4-Hour) for Soup Kitchen and Summer Camp Workers

This free, 4-hour course satisfies the NYC Health Code requirement that anyone who works at or is a volunteer in a soup kitchen, and anyone who works at a summer/day camp and serves food prepared elsewhere or food provided by the USDA under a summer feeding program, be certified in a course on Food Safety. The course includes a presentation on Food Safety and case studies.

At this time, this course is only available in a virtual classroom setting. The course will be offered via the WebEx application. Once you complete the course, you will be issued a temporary Certificate of Completion. To register for the course, contact the Health Academy at (646) 364-0771.
