Newborn Home Visiting Program

In-Person Visits Suspended

Due to the COVID-19 public health emergency, the Newborn Home Visiting Program has suspended in-person home visits until further notice.

The program is continuing to support families through phone calls.

The Newborn Home Visiting Program is a service for all mothers - regardless of age or immigration status. The program may be available to you if you live in these neighborhoods: North and Central Brooklyn (718-637-5230), South Bronx (718-579-2878), and East and Central Harlem (646-672-2894).

A health worker will visit you at home to provide breastfeeding support and help create a safe and nurturing home for your family. We talk about any concerns and questions you may have, share information, and help you find services your family might need. The visit lasts about an hour.

If you have recently given birth and are interested in hearing from us, call 311 and ask about the Newborn Home Visiting Program.
