Wes Gibson comes to DOI with over ten years of experience in New York City government. He previously served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Division for Youth and Family Justice at the Administration for Children’s Services, where he was responsible for the division’s Personnel, PS Budget, IT, Compliance, Administrative Support, and Project Management functions. Prior to his time at ACS, Mr. Gibson spent eight years at the Department of Citywide Administrative Services working as an Analyst in Human Capital, then as a Special Assistant in the Bureau of Security and Law Enforcement, and finally as Chief of Staff for Administration. Before transitioning to public service, Mr. Gibson worked in the private sector as a business analyst, project manager, and management consultant.
Mr. Gibson received his undergraduate degree from Vassar College and a Masters in Science in Urban Policy and Management from The Milano School of Policy, Management, and Environment at The New School. He also attended the spring 2014 session of the Management Academy program for emerging leaders in City government.
