Community Action Board (CAB)

Audio Description: Watch as the Community Action Board (CAB) met on Thursday, November 14, 2019. A presentation on Neighborhood Development Area program outcomes for Fiscal Year 2019 was made by Assistant Commissioner Mike Bobbitt. Also in attendance was Ms. Aimee Kollar, Community Services Program Analyst, for the NYS Department of State Division of Community Services.

 

The Community Action Board (CAB) is a Citywide body that oversees community action initiatives under the federal Community Services Block Grant (CSBG). The CAB is comprised of 22 residents of low-income communities, 15 elected public officials, and eight representatives from the private sector. CAB members participate in the development of program priorities and advise in the allocation of CSBG funds.
