Community Action Board (CAB)

Audio Description: Watch as the Community Action Board (CAB) held its regular full board meeting in January 2018 to discuss developments and to review activities in the federally-funded Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) anti-poverty program. CAB and Neighborhood Advisory Board members participated in an exercise to strengthen the connection between both groups of volunteers.


The Community Action Board (CAB) is a Citywide body that oversees community action initiatives under the federal Community Services Block Grant (CSBG). The CAB is comprised of 22 residents of low-income communities, 15 elected public officials, and eight representatives from the private sector. CAB members participate in the development of program priorities and advise in the allocation of CSBG funds.
