Mayor's Youth Leadership Council (MYLC) Request for Proposals- Released December 29, 2014

DYCD is proud to release the Mayor`s Youth Leadership Council (MYLC) Request for Proposals(RFP) through the HHS Accelerator system to those organizations prequalified in the relevant service areas. Likewise, proposals must be submitted through the HHS Accelerator system in the manner set forth in the "Procurements" section of the system by those same prequalified organizations. In this RFP, the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) in collaboration with the Young Men's Initiative (YMI) is seeking an appropriately qualified organization to deliver the Mayor's Youth Leadership Council (MYLC) program to high school aged youth. The MYLC offers a small group of 20 high school students the opportunity to formulate a change agenda for The City of New York in a policy area of their choice and to present their recommendations to the Mayor.

It is anticipated that the term of the contracts awarded from this RFP will be from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018 with an option to renew for three additional years.

The pre-proposal conference for this RFP will be held on January 13, 2015 at 10:00am at 2 Lafayette, 14th floor Auditorium New York, NY 10007.

Immigrant Services ESOL/Civics Request for Proposals- Released December 22, 2014

DYCD is proud to release the Immigrant Services ESOL/Civics Request for Proposals(RFP) through the HHS Accelerator system to those organizations prequalified in the relevant service areas. Likewise, proposals must be submitted through the HHS Accelerator system in the manner set forth in the "Procurement" section of the system by those same pre-qualified organizations. In this RFP, the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) is seeking appropriately qualified not-for-profit organizations to provide English as a Second Language instruction in the context of civics to New York City's adult immigrant population.

It is anticipated that the term of the contracts awarded from this RFP will be from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018 with an option to renew for three additional years.

The pre-proposal conference for this RFP will be held on January 12, 2015 at 10:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 4:00pm at 2 Lafayette, 14th floor Auditorium New York, NY 10007.

Neighborhood Development Areas - Released September 5, 2014

Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) is seeking appropriately qualified vendors to provide Neighborhood Development Area (NDA) Programs in NYC.

The Schools Out NYC Middle School Expansion Technical Assistance Request for Proposals

Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) is seeking appropriately qualified vendors to provide technical assistance (TA) to DYCD-funded not-for-profit organizations that operate Out-of-School Time (OST) programs for middle school youth or "School's Out NYC (SONYC)" programs. TA services will support effective implementation of DYCD-funded SONYC programs, including programs under existing contracts that are subject to new requirements. This notable investment in TA reflects the expansion of SONYC programs, the agency's past experience of common challenges faced by many of its contractors serving middle school youth, and emerging research on issues relating to the administrative capacity of organizations providing afterschool services. The submission deadline for this RFP will be August 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM.

DYCD will be holding a Pre-Proposal Conference at our offices at 156 Williams Street in the 2nd Floor Auditorium on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM. Attendance while not mandatory but is recommended by DYCD.
