MOUs

NYC Emergency Management, in collaboration with the Mayor's Office of Resiliency, has launched the Interim Flood Protection Measures program to provide temporary, deployable resources that can help protect areas from flooding caused by hurricanes. These measures do not protect against flooding from rainfall events. As part of this program, NYC Emergency Management has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with NYC Department of Transportation that outlines guidance for the installation of flood protection measures when such measures occupy or use space on or over the City's right of way (streets and sidewalks). A full copy of the MOU is available for inspection at NYC Emergency Management headquarters. Please email nycoemlegal@oem.nyc.gov with any questions or concerns.
