FDNY Compressions Only CPR Training
Thursday, June 23, 2022

1:00 p.m.

The goal of this course is to equip New Yorkers with the basic skills needed to take action in the event of a cardiac arrest emergency. The first few minutes after a person goes into cardiac arrest are the most critical. Bystanders who witness or encounter a person in cardiac arrest are the ones who can maintain blood flow to the vital organs by performing chest compressions, improving a person’s chances of survival. Participants may register via the "Ready Up NYC" webinar series link, or the following WebEx link:

In preparation for the training, please make sure all participants have the following:

  • Computer/laptop or tablet with the camera turned on. (Instructors will need to evaluate skills learned throughout the session.)
  • Pillow to practice compressions on.
  • Please download WebEx on your smart device.
