Seb Formoso is an information technology executive with a long and proven record leading and managing all aspects of global IT organizations in a wide range of industries. His experience includes 25+ years leading and transforming information technology and systems for IBM, Konica, PepsiCo, Phillip Morris, Altria, Coca-Cola, Diageo, ServiceMaster, and PHH Mortgage.
As the Department of Finance’s chief information officer, Seb is responsible for overseeing the Finance Information Technology organization, which provides support for all facets of the agency’s computer systems, applications, data security, and network infrastructure while delivering IT solutions to meet the DOF’s objectives and goals. He completed the implementation of the agency’s current business tax system, which collects more than $12 billion annually, as well as a first-of-its-kind mobile app that can be used to pay or dispute parking tickets.
Seb is currently leading the implementation of New York City’s new property tax system and the transformation of the department’s parking operations and collections systems. He and his team are also implementing DOF’s data warehouse and customer case management system. Seb earned his Master of Science in computer science from Pace University.
