Yes, you can now use PayPal or Venmo to pay your New York City parking or camera violation. You can make your payment by visiting www.nyc.gov/citypay and selecting “Parking or Camera Violations,” or by downloading the NYC Pay or Dispute app. (If you pay on the website, you will need a mobile device to use Venmo.)

You will be charged a nonrefundable fee of 2% of the payment amount to pay with PayPal or Venmo. You will see this amount before you check out.

If you wish to pay by PayPal and do not have an account, you may pay as a guest. You will be prompted to create a PayPal account after you pay. If you wish to pay by Venmo, you must have an account associated with the mobile device you are using to make the payment.

If you pay by PayPal, it will appear in your transaction history as a payment to “New York City Department of Finance.” If you pay by Venmo, it will appear in your transaction history as a payment to “NYC Department of Finance – Parking and Camera Tickets (Web).”

Yes, even if you do not have a bank account or credit card, you can still use PayPal or Venmo to pay your parking ticket online or through the Pay or Dispute mobile app. If you have a balance in your PayPal or Venmo account, you can use that to pay your ticket. If not, you can add cash to your PayPal account (for a fee) and use those funds to pay your parking ticket. Visit PayPal’s website to learn how to add cash to your account.
