Sonia Ossorio is the President of NOW New York, the largest women’s human rights organization in the state. Sonia has led the organization, with more than 20,000 members and supporters, in advancing women’s rights at home, at work and in the courts. She led campaigns to protect pregnant inmates, reduce human trafficking, prevent child marriage, enact no-fault divorce, promote voter engagement and help propel women to elected office. She launched the Women of Power & Influence Network of leading women business leaders and partnered with IBM to produce“Dismantling the Glass Ceiling: Actions to Advance Gender Equality in the Workplace”. Named as one of the most powerful and influential people in New York by City & State, she has appeared on MSNBC, Fox Network, NY1, and Telemundo.
