On March 2, 2020, DSS/HRA alerted elected and community partners that HRA’s Southern Brooklyn Job Center is moving from its current location at 35 Fourth Avenue to 275 Bergen Street, Brooklyn, NY 11217, because the lease is expiring and the building at 35 Fourth Avenue is being sold. This move is occurring on August 28, 2020. The staff, the operations and most of the caseload of the Southern Brooklyn Job Center will merge with the existing DeKalb Job Center, at 275 Bergen Street. Some of the caseload from Southern Brooklyn Job Center was already transferred to Coney Island Job Center earlier this year.
HRA is consolidating its two Common Benefit Identification Card (CBIC) locations on May 8, 2020 (postponed from April 13). The CBIC location at 109 East 16th Street in Manhattan will close, and all CBIC clients will be served at the citywide distribution center at 227 Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn. Please note that clients receiving emergency benefits can receive a temporary identification card at the location where they applied, and no longer need to travel to a CBIC location.

Starting July 1, 2019, you can come to the St. Nicholas Job Center (S14), located at 132 W 125th Street, for the following SNAP services:
HRA staff will be on site to help you with these services. HRA staff can also show you how to use ACCESS HRA on your mobile phone or a PC so that you can skip the trip the next time!
Paper SNAP applications and other services will be processed at East End SNAP Center (S02), located at 2322 3rd Avenue (aka 165 East 126th Street). Your case will not be affected by the move. If you bring a paper application to St. Nicholas Job Center, an HRA worker can take it for you and send it to your SNAP center for processing. Please note that you can apply, recertify, or manage your case anytime online on the ACCESS HRA website or mobile app. Go to nyc.gov/accesshra or download the app to get started.
