Internship Opportunities

The Mayor’s Office Internship Program for Summer 2019 will begin accepting applications on Monday, January 14, 2019! Internships are available for High School, Undergraduate, Graduate, and Law students. On the application portal, students can view the job descriptions and apply for internships within the Office of the Mayor.

If selected, students will gain valuable work experience that can be apply to virtually every endeavor — whether working in government or the private sector. The internship program will allow students to apply the skills they are learning at school to a professional internship setting, helping them to gain exposure to city government, work experience, additional skills and develop networks.

Key Summer 2019 Internship Program Dates:

  • Internship Application Opens: Monday, January 14, 2019
  • Internship Application Deadline: Sunday, March 17, 2019
  • Notification of Acceptance or Denial to applicants: Week of April 15-19, 2019
  • Graduate and Law School Students Start Date: Monday, May 20, 2019
  • Undergraduate Students Start Date: Monday, June 3, 2019
  • High School Students Start Date: Monday, July 8, 2019
  • Summer 2019 Internship Program End Date: Friday, August 30, 2019

All Office of the Mayor Internship Program positions are paid for their work. Listed below are the Pay Rates for 2019:

  • High School Students: $15 per hour
  • Undergraduate College Students: $15.75 per hour
  • Graduate Students: $17 per hour
