Harassment

Freedom from Harassment

Occupants have a right to use and occupy their units in comfort, repose, peace and quiet. Any occupant may file an application with the Loft Board if an owner or someone acting on behalf of the owner, engages in a course of conduct or a single act that interferes with or disturbs the occupant’s comfort, repose, peace or quiet with the intent to cause the occupant to vacate the building or unit, or to surrender or waive any rights under a lease, rental agreement or the Loft Law.

See 29 RCNY § 2-02 for more information about harassment.
