Liquor Licenses

Until Further Notice:

As part of the FY 2023 State Budget, the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law was amended to allow applicants to provide the required 30-day advanced notice to their municipality or community board via email, provided the municipality or community board elects to accept notices via email.

Send all electronically filled or scanned 30 Day Standardized Notices and other SLA Correspondence in PDF format as an attachment to onjames@cb.nyc.gov  Our office will confirm receipt of your submission per requirements from the SLA Board.

Liquor Licenses

Applications are considered first by the Licensing & Permits Committee before being considered by the Full Board. See our monthly calendar for upcoming meeting dates.

Submissions:

  • 14 Days prior to meeting
  • 7 Days prior to meeting
    • Summary Sheet
    • Liquor License Questionnaire
    • Stipulations Sheets - Fill out the top, bolded section. 

The Committee may postpone or decline review if these forms are incomplete or if proper public notice has not been posted within the time noted. If you have any questions, contact the Community Board office at onjames@cb.nyc.gov

NYS SLA Posting Requirements: Regardless Of CB Support/Opposition, CB 1 will report non-compliance of these requirements to the SLA if establishments are found to have applied for a license or received a hearing date without duly posting notice.

Complaints

We encourage the community to submit a 311 complaint, for any noise regarding a liquor establishment before contacting the Community Board. Apple | Android

File a Complaint to the SLA: Complaints about a licensed establishment are investigated by the Enforcement Bureau.
