New York City is one of the largest procuring entities in the country. In Fiscal 2018, the City procured $19.3 billion worth of goods and services through almost 39,300 transactions. This represents an 8% decrease in total dollar value relative to Fiscal 2017 ($20.9 billion). These transactions provided direct services to New Yorkers, helped maintain the City's infrastructure, and secured the operation of City government. The following procurement indicators are citywide in scope and include all Mayoral agencies.
