2019 Awardees:

"Made in NY" Honoree Jason DaSilva

"Thank you Mayor de Blasio, the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment, and Commissioner del Castillo for this great honor," Jason DaSilva said. "Receiving a 'Made in NY' award confirms that I am headed in the right direction and I am grateful to be supported by the industry and New York City, the only place where I can get the 24/7 care I need while pursuing my filmmaking career."

"Made in NY" Honoree Caroline Hirsch

"I am honored and humbled to receive the 'Made in NY' Award from the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment," said Caroline Hirsch, founder and owner of Carolines on Broadway and the New York Comedy Festival. "I've been doing business in this great city for more than 35 years — from running my comedy club and producing the comedy festival to launching a production company to produce film and television projects — and to be recognized by the Mayor's Office for my contributions to the arts and culture in New York City is a tremendous privilege and something I will always treasure."

"Made in NY" Honoree Terry Lawler

"I'm truly honored to be receiving the Made in NY Award at the Muse Awards this year," said New York Women in Film & Television Executive Director Terry Lawler. "After 21 years with NYWIFT, I couldn't imagine a better way to complete my hugely satisfying tenure as Executive Director."

Made in NY Awards

"Made in NY" Honoree Sandra Lee

"I feel honored and blessed to be given the 'Made in NY' award at this year's Gotham ceremony," said Sandra Lee. "New York City inspires me every day and is a gift to us all. I made my documentary short film to help anyone who is, has or will deal with a cancer diagnosis. My hope is that this recognition will fuel the flame of awareness for those diagnosed as well as their families so they may now have the tools and insights I did not."

2017 Awardees:

MOME Spotlight Award Alysia Reiner

"Made in NY" Honoree Alysia Reiner

"I grew up on the upper west side of Manhattan, I live in Harlem now and I feel blessed beyond measure to make a living as an artist, and to do so in this city," said Alysia Reiner. "There is always some magical piece of art being made here. This city defines grit and perseverance. We are a group of humans who get back up, help the next person up, hopefully learn, and definitely tell a really funny story about it."

MOME Spotlight Award

Seth Meyers, Late Night with Seth Meyers

"I am honored to receive The Spotlight Award from the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment. New York is a perfect place for me to film a show, not just because of the talented community of professionals who make it what it is, but also because I live here and if we filmed somewhere else my commute would be too long." - Seth Meyers
