The City of New York is home to the most innovative creators in the world. The "Made in NY" initiative celebrates New York City's evolving media & entertainment industry, highlighting the importance of the sector to the local economy through public service campaigns, marketing efforts and educational and workforce development programs.
In the past, the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment has provided permissions to use the "Made in NY" logo in end credits of productions made in New York City. We are currently in the process of reviewing criteria and procedures for granting permission to use the logo in end credits (outside of the "Made in NY" Marketing Credit Program). We are not accepting applications for the use of the “Made in NY” logo for end credits at this time; however, we are continuing to provide permissions to use the logo in end credits in connection with the "Made in NY" Marketing Credit Program for projects that meet the initiative’s specific requirements.
We encourage you to check back here for updates in the future.
The "Made in NY" program developed by Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and Katherine L. Oliver, Commissioner of the Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting, is a testament to the depth of talent, locations and resources in New York City. It supports film and television projects by offering incentives and special services to productions. The "Made in NY" logo serves as a "mark of distinction" for qualifying productions.
In 2006, the NYC Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting launched a line of apparel featuring the "Made in NY" mark in an effort to generate awareness of the contributions of the entertainment production industry to the City's economy, as well as instill pride in New Yorkers for hosting film and television productions in their City.
"Made in NY" merchandise is available at CityStore, the official store of the City of New York. CityStore is located in the Manhattan Municipal Building, 1 Centre Street, North Plaza.
