Made in NY Discount Card

We are proud to offer the "Made in NY" Discount card as an incentive for filming in New York City. Available to bona fide productions, the card provides discounts and special offers when presented to the more than 1,000 vendors currently participating.

Experienced PAs for Hire

The "Made in NY" PA Training Program produces graduates who are pre-screened, trained, and experienced. Our partner Brooklyn Workforce Innovations can arrange interviews or direct placements, several weeks in advance or at a moment's notice. This is a free service offered to productions shooting in NYC and surrounding areas.

NY State Film Tax Credits

The New York State Film Production Tax Credit program provides qualifying film and television productions a 30% credit for qualified production expenditures. All eligible productions shot in New York City may qualify for this program. Legislation extended the program through 2019, allocating $420 million per year.

Location Library

The majority of these City-owned locations are available at no fee; some buildings operated by the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) do require a fee. Learn more about DCAS at nyc.gov/dcas.

"Movies Under the Stars" Outdoor Film Series

MOME partners with the City's Parks Department to present hundreds of outdoor film screenings in public parks in all five boroughs, including many that have never hosted movie nights before.

Whenever you see a "Made in NY" truck, it means a film or television show is being created right here in our City. With New York City's iconic and unique sites and neighborhoods, NYC is a popular place for film production. Filming here also means 130,000 jobs for New Yorkers and billions of dollars into the City's economy.

Rehearsal Spaces

SpaceFinder NYC is a free online rental marketplace for rehearsal, performance, and other creative spaces in the NYC region. The non-profit organization is funded by New York City's Department of Cultural Affairs and New York State's Council on the Arts.

NYC Employee Theatre Discount

City employees have an opportunity to experience Broadway and Off-Broadway performances at substantial savings. The Theatre Development Fund normally offers a ticket service for deeply discounted tickets for select eligible groups.

Spotlight on Broadway

Celebrating Broadway's vibrant history, Spotlight on Broadway is a multimedia project featuring intimate profiles of the theatres and productions that make up the City's theatre district, featuring videos chronicling the history of the theatres themselves as well as moments from some of the most celebrated productions that took place on their stages.

Music Industry Economic Impact Study

In March 2017, MOME announced the findings of the first-ever economic impact study of NYC's music industry. The study found that the sector supports nearly 60,000 jobs, accounts for $5 billion in wages, and generates $21 billion in total economic output for the city.

 

Digital Media

Podcasting Industry Report

In the first comprehensive study of the podcast industry, MOME found that NYC has become the global hub for production of audio news and entertainment on demand. The top NYC-based networks produced almost 200 podcasts – up nearly 75 percent fron 2015 – and drove over 1.3 billion downloads in 2016.
