NEW YORK, February 28, 2022 – The NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment congratulates the 'Made in NY' winners from the 28th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, which took place last night in Los Angeles. Actors from NYC film and television productions won two SAG Awards: Ariana DeBose for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role, West Side Story and the cast of Succession for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
"We are thrilled to celebrate SAG Awards winners Ariana DeBose and the cast of Succession, whose performances in 'Made in NY' productions shine a light on the incredible talent that fuels NYC's thriving film and television industry," said NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment Commissioner Anne del Castillo. "We are especially proud to congratulate Ariana, the first queer woman of color to receive a film award from the guild, whose win advances the truth that diverse talent makes for stronger storytelling."
