Lost or Stolen Press Cards

If a press card is lost or stolen, the loss or theft must be reported to all of the following:

• NYPD: Report the lost or stolen card at an NYPD precinct and NYPD will provide a Verification of Crime/Lost Property Report.


• The Press Credentials Office: Submit the Verification of Crime/Lost Property Report to the Press Credentials Office to receive a replacement.


• The Press Card Holder’s Employer: if the press card holder is employed.
