National Disability Employment Awareness Month

This October marks the 75th anniversary of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) as well as  the 30th anniversary year of the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act. NDEAM is a celebration of American workers with disabilities and a reminder to employers of the importance of inclusive hiring practices. Both milestones are being commemorated with a range of events and activities centered on the theme "Increasing Access and Opportunity."

The Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities is celebrating all month long with Business-led workshops, panel discussions that focus on both conscious and unconscious bias, the digital divide and the new job landscape post COVID-19.
