Request a Disability Etiquette and Awareness Training for your staff

The Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities' Disability Etiquette and Awareness Training provides an extensive overview of people with all kinds of disabilities. The training covers legal definitions, statistics and reasonable accommodations for the home and workplace. It also goes over general information on each disability type and how to assist individuals in a one-on-one basis.

Since 2019, MOPD has provided Disability Etiquette and Awareness trainings in person and virtually to over 120 businesses and agencies, reaching over 3,000 hiring managers and HR specialists, resulting in numerous hires and internship opportunities for NYC: ATWORK participants.
