NYC Disability Pride Parade Festival

Disability Pride Festival entertainment, including an area for kids and families, will take place in Union Square Park (between 14th and 16th Streets) from 11:30AM - 3:30PM

This festive event — free and open to the public — is meant to keep the Americans with Disabilities Act and Disability Pride Month's celebratory and collaborative momentum strong and energized. The NYC Disability Pride Parade and Festival represents coordination and community engagement by Disability Pride NYC, the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities, Art Beyond Sight and Project Access for All. The parade and festival will be an inclusive, festive, educational and entertaining gathering of leading cultural and access groups with a common goal — to promote and celebrate possibilities and opportunities for people with disabilities across all areas of society. Organizations will be setting up booths in Union Square Park, a popular and busy hub where this great city's diverse multicultural communities gather and meet.

The Festival includes an area for kids and families. Join the diverse disability communities in celebrating disability pride.

Tables for community engagement provide interactive art demonstrations, sports and recreation, science, entertainment and crafts activities! NYC cultural organizations and the NYC Parks Department will provide games, arts and crafts projects, music and singing. All activities are inclusive, family- and kid-friendly with no offensive or negative subject matter, language or components.

For additional entertainment and celebration, there will be a talented lineup of musicians and dancers.
