First Lady Chirlane McCray welcomed over 300 New Yorkers from homeless shelters and the foster care system to Gracie Mansion, in celebration of the holidays. Children and their chaperones received a tour of Gracie Mansion, decked out in festive holiday décor, followed by activities and lunch under the tent. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn about various holidays and participate in fun activities hosted by Blick, the Studio Museum in Harlem, and Lab/Shul. After the event, over 3,000 members of the general public enjoyed the children's crafts, which were displayed as ornaments on the trees under the tent.
We would like to acknowledge, and thank our committed exclusive sponsor of the Children's Holiday Party, without whom this event would not be possible:

I'm feeling the holiday cheer this season because I have the best job in the city: Every day I get to help figure out how we can make people's lives better. Today we're celebrating the holidays at Gracie Mansion with the special children supported by our city.Posted by First Lady Chirlane McCray on Saturday, December 16, 2017
